End of term fun at the beach, Portrush.
Children had a fun time at the beach, building sandcastles and playing games with each other. On the way home the children enjoyed a McFlurry at McDonalds.
Seamus Heaney Home Place Visit 2017
Pupils from Kilross Primary and Gaelscoil Na Speirini visited the Seamus Heaney Centre as part of their Shared Education Programme. During their visit the children had a guided tour of the centre and participated in the Key Stage Two Education Programme, 'A Kite for Aibhin.' During the programme the children also explored and developed an understanding of what makes a kite fly. In the afternoon the children had fun flying their kites in the grounds.
Children from P5, P6 & P7 joined with Desertmartin Primary and Bellaghy Primary for their annual residential trip to Bushmills Education Centre from 2nd February - 5th February. The children were involved in an outdoor pursuits programme that included canoeing, a high ropes course, archery, cycling, team building games, abseiling and beach and jungle walks. The children had a great time and made many new friends as they participated in the various challenges.
Visit to Springhill
Children in P1-p4, along with children from the Gaelscoil na Speirin, visited Springhill for a Spooky adventure on Thursday 23rd October 2014.
On Friday 20th June 2014 P4-P7 took part in a very interesting and informative trip to the Titanic Centre in Belfast with Mrs Hutchinson and Mrs Kelso.
Clementsmount Farm 2014
P1, P2 and P3 went to Clementsmount Farm on Monday 16th June 2014 and had a very enjoyable time playing games and learning about the animals in the sunshine.
P1 and P2, took P7 along to help them plant a hedge with Stephanie and Mark. The hedge is a mixture of hawthorne, alder, holly, beech and birch which will grow a stronger hedge and attract and support more wildlife.
